Mike Jones - Regional Director (Mid-West)

Mike Jones’s career has spanned over 50 years in commercial aviation. He was taught to fly by his father, Casey Jones, a noted pioneer in General Aviation.
After graduation from college in 1963, he worked with his father in the family business, a FAA approved aircraft charter as well as an agricultural spraying business. The company offered new Piper and Cessna aircraft sales and maintenance.
In 1966 Mr. Jones initiated the first degree-granting flight training program at Treasure Valley Community College. Over a period of 15 years, they trained over 600 commercial pilots.
After completing his MBA 1981 he opened Turbo Air, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, a corporate aviation service and charter facility. Turbo Air was an approved repair station and turbine service center operating and managing between 15 & 20 aircraft. Mr. Jones served as Chief Pilot and Director of Operations and Turbo Air flew over 4000 hours accident-free hours per year for 17 years.
Mr. Jones sold his interest in Turbo Air, Inc. in 1990 to assume the position of Chief Pilot for a Fortune 500 company doing business internationally in Salt Lake City.
In addition to his flight responsibilities, he was appointed Director of Community Relations and supervised the construction of the $5 million family museum. Also during that time, he served on the Board of Directors of the Salt Lake Ronald McDonald House.
In 2000 Mr. Jones opened Jetshare, a regionally based jet membership program with five multi-engine turbo aircraft. Jetshare was sold in 2006.
In 2017 Mr. Jones returned to Salt Lake City and opened Aviation Advisors. He brings 50 years experience in aircraft sales and maintenance and 20,000 hours flight time in varied aircraft to his new endeavor.
